Chief Mind
At Splunk, there have always been an awful lot of job titles, and historically the powers that be have been pretty flexible with allowing individuals the creativity to come up with their own appropriate job titles for business cards. As the company matured, eventually a rule came down that no titles could use the word ‘Chief’ in them anymore, lest there be confusion as to if someone holds a C-level position within the company or not. David Carasso, the personality that he was, decided to fight this, and deservedly became Splunk’s Chief Mind.
